Event Press | Pilot Showcases Megawatt MCS Superchargers and Global SKD Solutions for Heavy-Duty E-trucks at CPSE 2026

SHANGHAI, May 15, 2026 – Pilot, a leading manufacture in electric vehicle charging infrastructure, successfully concluded its showcase at the 5th Shanghai International Charging, Battery Swapping, Photovoltaic & Energy Storage Exhibition (CPSE 2026). The company took center stage by premiering its next-generation heavy-duty fleet charging portfolio, the PEVC3109E smart DC fast charger, and its debut global Semi-Knocked-Down (SKD) partnership program.
Heavy-Duty Truck Charging: High Efficiency Meets Fast ROI
During the exhibition, Pilot introduced a highly scalable DC ultra-fast charging (DCFC) lineup spanning from 360 kW to 1.92 MW, boasting a peak station efficiency of no less than 96.5%. The company provided an on-site calculation: based on typical operational intensity, the electricity costs saved over two years would offset the purchase cost of a single charging station.
The modular system supports an adaptable architecture, allowing operators to mix and match standard fast-charging, air-cooled ultra-fast, and liquid-cooled ultra-fast satellite dispensers within a single power matrix. A single charging gun can already achieve megawatt-level output and is compatible with the MCS megawatt charging standard, future-proofing commercial fleets for next-generation heavy-duty EV roll-outs.
Engineered to withstand the harshest environments, the series features an independent airflow channel design equipped with G4-grade air filters at both intake and exhaust ports. The printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) feature conformal coating alongside fully potted modules for robust environment sealing. Furthermore, key components such as DC contactors and fuses are designed with industrial-grade thermal margins, ensuring they uninterrupted rated output even under continuous full-load operations in extreme high-temperature environments.
Global SKD Solutions: Localizing Charging Station Production Lines
In tandem with its high-power hardware, Pilot unveiled the PEVC3109E (60 kW–240 kW) DC charging station tailored for international markets, alongside a flexible SKD partnership model. Built for global interoperability, the PEVC3109E supports standard connector interfaces including CCS1, CCS2, GB/T, and CHAdeMO. It natively integrates the advanced OCPP 2.0.1 protocol, enabling robust remote diagnostics and over-the-air (OTA) firmware updates. The ruggedized enclosure meets IP55 weatherproofing standards and can be customized with a 32-inch high-definition advertising display and a light-ring cable management system.
Centered around the PEVC3109E platform, Pilot's turnkey SKD solution provides global partners with core power modules, electronic components, comprehensive assembly blueprints, and stringent quality testing standards. This model empowers international partners to establish local final assembly and distribution, significantly mitigating tariff barriers, reducing logistics costs, and accelerating compliance with local market certifications.
“The electrification of commercial heavy-duty transit has transitioned from regional pilots to large-scale fleet adoption, driving a surge in demand for localized delivery,” said the Head of Pilot’s Charging Product Line. “Our objective at CPSE 2026 is twofold: to maximize the operational efficiency of every charging asset and to enable our global partners to build resilient, market-adjacent production lines through our comprehensive SKD framework.”
